The Story

The challenge

This Holland bathroom was stuck decades in the past. A dated faux-marble vanity with a pink drop-in sink, beige faux-finish walls topped by a busy wallpaper border, a beige toilet, a tan fiberglass tub framed by mismatched tan-and-pink tile, and a dark mosaic floor made the room feel cramped, dim, and dreary — a tired space with no flow and no light.

The vision

We reimagined the room as a calm, contemporary spa. A custom navy Nina Green Signature Series vanity — built with dovetailed solid-wood drawers and dressed in polished chrome industrial-style pulls — grounds the space beneath a white quartz countertop and a sculptural rectangular vessel sink. A shimmering linear glass tile accent wall and a beaded silver mirror catch the light, soft powder-blue walls open the room up, and the tub and shower were rebuilt with crisp large-format wood-look porcelain tile, floating corner shelves, and modern chrome fixtures. Teal apothecary glass and a polished chrome shelf add a collected, finished touch.

The result

A bright, serene contemporary bathroom that feels twice its size — custom cabinetry, quartz, glass tile, and porcelain working together to turn a dated, pink-and-tan relic into a polished everyday spa retreat.
