Cape May Ensuite Bathroom
The companion bath to our Cape May ensuite — a dated, floral-papered seaside bathroom reimagined as a glamorous, magazine-featured teen girl’s ensuite in marble and lavender.

The challenge
The ensuite bathroom serving our Cape May teen girl’s bedroom was stuck in the past — busy floral wallpaper, red-striped wall tile, a tired pedestal sink, and a cramped builder-grade corner shower that felt nothing like the glamorous bedroom it adjoined.
The vision
We carried the bedroom’s glamour through the door: a striking floral marble mosaic feature wall, a grey-washed mirrored vanity beneath an ornate Venetian mirror, polished-nickel sconces and fittings, soft lavender walls with crisp white marble subway wainscot, a purple peony triptych, and a frameless glass corner shower with a marble-and-mosaic surround.
The result
A jewel-box ensuite bath that completes the suite and, like the bedroom, was featured in both Cape May Magazine and Design NJ Magazine — a teen’s bathroom worthy of a magazine spread.
Drag to compare
The sink wall — from a dated pedestal and floral wallpaper to a glamorous mirrored vanity.
The shower — a cramped builder stall reborn as a frameless marble-and-mosaic corner shower.
